Taco heaven!
We were craving good tacos and this place scored! They served up some solid food! Especially liked the carne asada tacos, refried beans, and the salsa bar!
You can't go wrong here. Arrive hungry for some authentic grub! -

Really good food. Quick, reasonable prices. Love their taco shells.
Shredded beef could have some more flavor. -

I was underwhelmed. The menu was decent. I ordered an asada chimi with rice. I should have mentioned "no sour cream" since apparently they put it on their chimis.
The chimi was cooked well. A light crispy shell. The asada was adequate. Didn't really excite me. I'm aware that genuine Mexican food is simple. But the asada was almost tasteless, which isn't a characteristic of Mexican food. Well, perhaps that is an overstatement. But it wasn't as flavorful as it should have been. The red sauce was pretty good. The rice was very flavorful, which was nice.
Overall I would say an average performance. Not great, not bad. You could do worse, but you also could do better. -

Excitement turned into disappointment
I was excited for the chicarron taco. Not only it was spicily tasteless, the topping wasn't crunchy!
The price was overly expensive. Most tacos were over $3 and tasteless at the same time. I have had better in Mesa, AZ. I thought Tucson is near Mexico then it should have better tacos for cheap but I was wrong. I knew there are other places in Tucson that offer more topping options but they are still expensive. This place? For the price I paid for, I didn't get the food that I deserve. -

I first tried fish Tacos in Tubac and I really enjoyed them. So when I saw them on the menu at one of my favorite Taquerias, I had to give them a try. Lightly battered filets of Pollack white fish. Fried to a Crispy brown but still tender and moist inside. On corn tortillas with a heavenly creamy tartar sauce. Then I added lime juice, Mexican relish, hot sauce and radishes. Delicious! 3 fish Tacos were $12.69 after tax. Wonderful lunch!
